Why Francesco Clemente’s Milan exhibition is worth seeing before it closes

Only a few days remain to see “In Between”, the exhibition at Triennale Milano spanning more than fifty years of Francesco Clemente’s work. Curated by Francesca Pietropaolo in collaboration with Robert Storr, it is the first major retrospective devoted to the artist in Italy since the exhibition organized by Museo Madre in Naples in 2009, as well as the first presented by a public institution in Milan. It offers a rare opportunity to see around seventy works—some of them never previously exhibited in Italy—by one of the country’s most internationally acclaimed artists.
